Tuskegee Workshop Series

In collaboration with MIT Department of Architecture, DesignX hosts special workshops for Tuskegee University students on the MIT campus, featuring cutting-edge digital fabrication, 3D modeling and venture design. This partnership builds on a historic relationship spanning over 140 years and honors the legacy of Robert R. Taylor, MIT’s first African American graduate and the nation’s first accredited Black architect.
Through these immersive workshops, Tuskegee students engage with advanced design tools and technologies while experiencing MIT’s “mind and hand” approach to education, complementing Tuskegee’s “head, hand, and heart” philosophy.
