Spaceus empowers creative communities in cities by transforming vacant and underutilized buildings into collective and collaborative artist studios and gallery space. We match a landlord’s excess capacity with artists’ demand for space. Reversing the tendency to push artists further and further out, we create a multisided marketplace that folds creativity back into the city’s core.  


Spaceus keeps cities creative by bringing art to the city center. We do this by transforming vacant storefronts into shared artist studios. We provide a space to create, a platform to organize and exhibit, and opportunities to meet and learn from locals. As a network, Spaceus increases the vitality of commercial corridors and redefines how people come together in the city.
